Three of the harbour's walking and cycling bridges in one loop: Inderhavnsbroen, Cirkelbroen and Bryggebroen, with both sides of the water in between.
Copenhagen has spent two decades building walking and cycling bridges across its harbour, and this loop links them into one of the most satisfying runs in the city. From Nyhavn, cross Inderhavnsbroen to Christianshavn and follow Strandgade to the canals.
Cross Cirkelbroen, Olafur Eliasson's bridge of five circular platforms, continue past the foot of Langebro and run down the Islands Brygge quay to Bryggebroen. Back on the city side, follow Kalvebod Brygge north, past the Black Diamond library, and return through Slotsholmen to Nyhavn.
It is a short, flat loop that shows how the harbour has become the city's living room, with harbour baths, cafés and kayaks along the way.
Highlights
- Inderhavnsbroen ("the kissing bridge")
- Cirkelbroen by Olafur Eliasson

Practical notes
- The bridges are shared with very heavy bike traffic: keep to the pedestrian side.
- Windy along the open harbour.
- Some cobbled and boardwalk sections.
