From Nyhavn along the harbour to the Little Mermaid and the Langelinie pier, then a lap of the star-shaped ramparts of Kastellet.
This is the classic north-harbour run. From the top of Nyhavn, follow the canal to the harbour and run north past the Opera on the far shore, through the waterfront gardens of Amaliehaven and along the quay to the Little Mermaid.
Continue out along Langelinie, the long pier where cruise ships dock, then turn back and climb onto the grassy ramparts of Kastellet, one of the best-preserved star fortresses in northern Europe. Its raised paths give views over the moats, the harbour and the city spires.
Return through the gate past St. Alban's Church and Churchillparken, and back through Frederiksstaden and Amalienborg to Nyhavn.
