Marathon
Copenhagen Marathon
Sun 9 May 2027 · Start 09:30 · Øster Allé, Fælledparken
Denmark's big-city marathon: a flat course through every central district of Copenhagen, starting and finishing by Fælledparken on Østerbro.
The Copenhagen Marathon is organised by Sparta, Denmark's largest athletics and running club, and has become one of the most popular spring marathons in northern Europe: the organisers report more than 80,000 applications for the 2027 edition. It is part of the new European Marathon Classics series.
The flat course starts and finishes on Øster Allé beside Fælledparken and passes through Østerbro, the inner city, Christianshavn, Islands Brygge, Vesterbro, Frederiksberg and Nørrebro, with the Lakes, Nyhavn, Kongens Nytorv, Amalienborg and the Marble Church along the way.
There is a six-hour net cut-off for the full distance and three hours at halfway. Entry is through the organiser's own system; check the official site for how places are allocated.
Registration
Registration is handled by the organiser, Sparta Atletik & Løb. Copenhagen.run is not the organiser of this event.
